- Mad Dawg Lacrosse originated to bring the sport and love of lacrosse to the athletes in Vernon and Sussex County and soon expanded to Passaic, Morris and Orange County, NY.
- We are proud to say that our business is family run, as well as staffed by highly qualified coaches and players. Each year we are blessed to have former Mad Dawgs return and offer their experience to help grow the sport of lacrosse in the area.
- We are passionate about lacrosse and the values that we teach to on and off the field and hope to impart that on the athletes that participate in our programs.
Current staff members include:
- Harry Shortway: Vernon High School Boys Lacrosse Coach, former Jefferson High School lacrosse coach, played for Alfred Univesity, recieved honors of coach of the year .
- Cherie Shortway: Certified girls lacrosse official, youth coach.
- Kendahl Shortway: Certified girls lacrosse official, Mt.St. Dominic Varisty Coach, played for Susquehanna University, TCNJ club, coached University of Tenn Club, Vassar College. Masters in Sports Psycology from University of Tennesee.
- Brandon Schwartz: Boys High School Official, Vernon Twp Asst. Coach. Played for Vernon Twp High School.
- Casey Quinn: Plays for Slippery Rock University. MVP 2 years, All PSAC honors 2011. Former Vernon Twp player.
